Description
A bold early-twentieth-century Dutch advertising poster featuring a caricatured smiling boy's face alongside a decorative bottle of eau de cologne, set against a deep black background with red and yellow lettering. The poster promotes J. Bijloos' Hoofd Eau de Cologne, a head lice treatment cologne sold since 1878 and manufactured by J. Bijloos of Alkmaar — a historic city in North Holland, Netherlands, known for its famous cheese market and rich mercantile heritage. The product won a Gold Medal at the 1906 Antwerp International Exhibition, as proudly noted at the bottom of the poster.
