Description
A vintage two-color promotional poster advertising Dr. Richard H. Hunter's New International Xmas Circus at the Grove Theatre, Shore Road, Belfast, commencing 25th December 1967. The design features a bold, cartoonish clown illustration rendered in red ink alongside large display typography for 'XMAS CIRCUS.' Belfast, the capital city of Northern Ireland, is situated on the banks of the River Lagan; the Grove Theatre was a well-known mid-20th-century entertainment venue on Shore Road in the north of the city. The poster is held in the Dr. Hunter Papers collection archived by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI).
