Description

This iconic Dutch Golden Age masterpiece depicts Captain Frans Banninck Cocq in black with a red sash leading his militia company, with his lieutenant Willem van Ruytenburch in yellow beside him, the group emerging dramatically from a darkened archway in a swirl of lances, a banner, and a glowing young girl.
