Description
This iconic Art Nouveau advertisement features a languid, elegantly dressed woman with cascading auburn hair, holding a lit cigarette as curls of smoke drift upward around her. Bold teal lettering spelling 'JOB' dominates the upper portion, set against an ornate purple-violet background filled with intricate geometric and floral borders characteristic of Mucha's decorative style. Originally created in 1896 by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha to promote JOB brand cigarette papers — a French rolling-paper company founded in the mid-19th century — this lithograph became one of the defining images of the Belle Époque poster art movement.
