Description

A fisherman stands on a rocky promontory casting his line into turbulent, vividly colored waves, while Mount Fuji looms in the misty distance — a scene from Hokusai's celebrated series 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.' Kajikazawa, located in the historical Kai Province (present-day Yamanashi Prefecture), was renowned as a fishing spot along the Fuji River, offering one of the most dramatic silhouette views of Japan's iconic volcano. This digitally reinterpreted version retains the bold compositional lines of the original woodblock print while infusing the rock and water with vivid blue, purple, and teal hues.
