This serene woodblock print depicts the harbor at Ejiri — a post-town on the historic Tōkaidō Road linking Edo and Kyoto — with a flotilla of sailing vessels moored in the foreground and the famous pine-lined sandbar of Mio-no-Matsubara stretching across the calm turquoise bay. Rooftops of the town fill the lower left, while distant mountains and a pale orange horizon create a luminous sense of depth.
