Description
A delicate hand-coloured botanical illustration depicting a flowering branch with broad, deep-green leaves and a tall panicle of small white blossoms, with a single dissected flower detail shown in the lower right corner. The composition is rendered in the precise, naturalistic style characteristic of Curtis's Botanical Magazine, one of the world's longest-running scientific botanical periodicals, first published in London in 1787. Plate 3089 was published by Samuel Curtis of Glazenwood, Essex in 1831, capturing the specimen's form with scientific clarity and refined artistic elegance.
