Description

A hand-coloured botanical engraving depicting a flowering branch of Symphytum grandiflorum (large-flowered comfrey), rendered with precise scientific detail characteristic of early 19th-century botanical illustration. The composition features drooping tubular blooms in rich blue and crimson-red with elegantly arching green stems and broad, softly textured leaves against a warm cream background.
