Description
This antique star chart depicts the constellation Triangulum — the Triangle — rendered as a geometric figure formed by lines connecting labeled stellar points, with surrounding stars plotted across a lightly textured page filled with Latin annotations. The image comes from Johann Bayer's landmark celestial atlas Uranometria (1603), published in Augsburg and considered the first atlas to cover the entire celestial sphere, introducing the still-used Bayer designation system for naming stars with Greek letters. The spare, precise linework and aged cream tone give the print a scholarly, classical elegance well suited to library, study, or astronomy-themed interiors.
