Description

This naturalist plate from Audubon's landmark 'Birds of America' depicts two Carbonated Warblers perched on a leafy branch laden with small red berries, rendered with meticulous botanical and ornithological detail. The birds display delicate yellow and black plumage against lush green foliage, capturing the lifelike precision that made Audubon's work revolutionary in the early 19th century. 'Birds of America,' originally published between 1827 and 1838, is considered one of the greatest achievements in natural history illustration, featuring 435 hand-colored aquatint engravings of North American bird species.
