Description
A delicately rendered Louisiana Water Thrush perches among leafy branches bearing clusters of deep crimson berries, rendered in Audubon's signature naturalistic style with precise botanical and ornithological detail. This plate originates from Audubon's landmark publication 'The Birds of America' (1827–1838), widely celebrated as one of the greatest achievements in natural history illustration. The Louisiana Water Thrush, a warbler found along fast-moving streams and rivers across eastern North America, is depicted with characteristic streaked plumage against a softly aged cream background.
