Description

This ornithological plate by John James Audubon depicts three Yellow-crowned Warblers (now known as Yellow-rumped Warblers) perched among leafy vines bearing dark berries and a blooming iris, rendered with the meticulous botanical and avian detail that defines Audubon's landmark work 'The Birds of America' (1827–1838). The birds are shown in characteristic poses — feeding, resting, and in mid-movement — against a warm cream background.
