Description
This Art Nouveau lithographic poster features an elegantly dressed Parisian woman in a wide-brimmed hat, fur-trimmed coat, and red skirt, holding a copy of the Paris-Almanach against a busy street scene background. The text announces the almanac is available at all booksellers ('En vente chez tous les libraires') and was published by Sagot at 39bis, Rue de Chateaudun in Paris — a street in the 9th arrondissement historically associated with publishers and print dealers. The warm golden and ochre palette, sinuous line work, and fashionable female figure are hallmarks of Georges de Feure's Belle Époque graphic style.
