Description

The composition was created as a lithographic poster for the 14th Salon des Cent, a celebrated series of avant-garde art exhibitions held at the Hall de la Plume on Rue Bonaparte in Paris beginning in 1894, which showcased leading graphic artists and poster-makers of the era.
